ECI Telecom Names Former Juniper Executive Tony Scarfo to Head its Data Networking Division

Petah Tikva, Israel - July 12, 2006 - ECI Telecom (NASDAQ: ECIL) today announced the appointment of Tony Scarfo as Executive Vice President and General Manager of its Data Networking Division, formerly Laurel Networks. Scarfo will be reporting directly to ECI’s President and CEO, Rafi Maor.

Scarfo brings to ECI over 24 years of experience in the access, optical and data telecommunications industry. Prior to joining ECI, he served as Vice President, Global Alliances and Partnerships, at Juniper Networks. Scarfo joined Juniper through its acquisition of Unisphere Networks, where he was Vice President of Marketing. Scarfo also spent a significant portion of his career at Lucent Technologies, as Vice President of several divisions including 3G Wireless, Strategic Marketing and Solutions Development. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Manhattan College.
